Effective October 1, 2021

Poultry farms on our system will be able to be exempt from sales and use tax.

Arkansas General Assembley passed Act 970 to make this available.

To qualify, farms must file a sales tax exemption certificate with our office.  This form is available from the Department of Finance and Administration website and RiverSouth Rural Water website.

Also, if the residence is on the farm meter, you will have to arrange to have a seperate meter.  There are different ways to do this so just contact our office for further details.
